Over on mektek.net, they've released Assault Tech 1: BattleTech open beta, and MekTek X. AT1:BT is billed as "an effort to bring the best of the MechWarrior series into one game". MekTek X seems to be their distribution software, which I suspect will also be used to distribute the free Mechwarrior 4, once all of the remaining legal and technical issues are finally worked out.
