I find it funny that they incorrectly described Moore's law and that you didn't comment on it.

I also wish that "comedian" wasn't in the video at all.

I already commented on inaccurate descriptions of Moore's Law yesterday. I can restate it, if you like.

Moore's Law refers to the number of transistors present on a chip, not the overall performance of the chip.

But yes, the comedian is not only not very funny, but annoying as hell. He's in a room full of geeks who are in the process of geeking out, and therefore thought he should make stupid jokes about it. Unfortunately, rather than being in a high school cafeteria, he's sitting next to Neil deGrasse Tyson, which means instead of being cool and witty, he's just a hairless ape.

I didn't need you to restate it. I understand what it means. What I found funny is that you didn't note something like *Yes I know they describe Moore's law incorrectly after you felt the need to correct someone yesterday.

Because it was less relevant to this discussion. The chip Numbuk posted about is so amazing precisely because it does not utilizes Moore's Law to increase its performance.

Interesting input from Wil Wright on kids using the scientific method. My 4 year old recently started using the XBox 360. It was interesting to see him learn things. He would see Lightning McQueen do a flip in mid air when the computer was driving and figure out how to do it himself.

As far as the violence thing goes, he does like to blow up his mother on the battle races. When I'm playing with him he usually goes for the "Daddy come here I want to tell you something..." and then shoots me
