Most areas don't have singular 'best' routes to take, you can sneak multiple ways. Your best tools are going to be the listening ability (especially maxed out) and throwing plenty of bricks/bottles to shift the enemies' focus elsewhere.

Yup, I have to say, the enemies A.I. seemed pretty good. Forced to be dumb enough at you could progress, obviously, but generally quick to react, and responding with lethal force quickly. (I played through on hard.) While there were occasionally singular points you had to cross, in general you could use cover and avoid/sneak up on enemies a lot of the time, if you we're patient enough. One thing the splinter cell series has taught me is that patience is NOT one of my natural traits.

Yep, on playing this more, this game is definitely not for me.

It's pretty and everything, but simply doing stealth sections over and over until you memorize the route makes for a really shitty experience.

No thanks.

If you're playing on normal you can probably go through the whole game without needing to stealth past more than a couple of sections. If you have to do any section more than once or twice, you're most likely doing something wrong... I didn't have to memorize a single thing, especially not enemy paths or level routes. To each his own, I guess.

I'm playing on easy, and by the time I reached the first clickers I'd had to do three or four stealth sections that clearly had a specific pathway to follow.

I'll admit, I simply may not be good at stealth games, but in general the trial and error level design has almost no appeal for me.

Obviously, to each their own. I'm not trying to dissuade anybody from this game. More just stating my experience.

I admit the beginning of the game is heavily scripted with specific paths to follow, but it opens up after you're out of the tutorial phase. If you just barely found your first clickers, you aren't very far at all.

Probably. But I died like 10 times or more trying to get there through having to follow the very specific pathways. It effectively ruined any chance at the rest of the game, for me personally.
