I was most impressed by the personalized dialogue options for each hero (responses from the npcs are all the same though). What really impressed me, and still cracks me up, is the Hulk's dialogue options.

People keep telling me that the Green Goblin is broken. I find him rather fail. Deadpool, however, makes Thor, the Hulk, Juggernaut, Thing, Iron Fist, Captain America, Luke Cage, Wolverine, Daredevil ...

Well, let's just say Deadpool's melee is ridiculous.

Started tooling around with it last night. Controller battery died midway through the tutorial. All the rest dead, as well (I haven't picked up the 360 in a while, lol). Threw them on the charger, will pursue later, I'm sure.

The levels of desaturation in the graphics bothered me a bit. It's a comic book game, people, you can amp it up a little bit. It's kind of sad when I'm playing Iron Man, AKA "All Ostentatious Red and Gold Guy" and I'm losing him amidst the greys and browns of the level and mobs of enemies.

I guarantee you will not have this same problem with Hulk.

So, I purchased the DLC on the PS3, and hadn't done so for the 360. Now that I'm prepping for more 360 gaming, I went to download it, and oddly, it wasn't there. I checked the PSN as well, and I couldn't find a listing for MUA2 at all, just like on Live.

A little research found that the content expired on Dec. 31, 2009, and Activision is now claiming it was "a limited time offer," despite never mentioning it before.

WTF, Activision? Seriously? Fail.

By the way, the downloads for the first MUA have also gone the way of the dodo. So now the only way to get those added 8 playable characters is to track down the Marvel Ultimate Alliance: Gold Edition disc. Which, by the way, is out of print.

****. you. Activision.

I saw that last month.

I decided to play through the original MUA, but for the first time on my current xbox. Went to download the DLC I paid for and poof, gone. I was pissed.

As gamer-who-doesn't-use-next-gen-console, I skipped M:UA2.

I found out, however, while watching "Some Kind of Wonderful" and IMDBing it...

Jean Grey is Shayne! And other roles...

Congratulations, Activision. You made me purchase a $30 used copy of a game I had already purchased new for $60 just so I could get access to the $10 DLC that I also already purchased.

Effing. idiots. **** you and the overpriced, out-of-print horse on which you rode in.

I bought Marvel: Ultimate Alliance the very day it came out (for $60). Then, a few months later, they released DLC for it, adding eight new characters into the mix. As Cyclops was one of them, I of course had to have. I bought the DLC pack, which was $10.

Fast-forward to 2010. I picked up a new 360 Elite. I go to play MUA and re-download the DLC that was rightfully mine, only to find that it had been removed from the marketplace. As sucktastic as that was, I knew that Activision had released Marvel: Ultimate Alliance Gold Edition for the 360, which included the DLC on the disc. OK, well, that sucks that it's the only way to reclaim the DLC that I already own, but what the hell.

Oh, look. Activision pulled it from print.

Mother. ****.

OK, next option: Xbox Live offers some 360 games on demand for download. Yup, not this one. Wheee.

So I wind up having to track down a used copy from Gamestop, which costs $30. And it came with no manual, and Gamestop has put an unremovable sticker directly on the insert inside the case. Yippieee.

Hmmmms ...

You're probably going to hate me but ...

X Button > Settings Tab > Download History ...

If you transferred the permissions on your account, you should be able to retrieve the M:UA (1) DLC that way. Indeed, I can still fetch my Juggernaut for M:UA (2) that way.

I...oh, what was it called? "Reclaimed," I think? "Recovered?" the account. I think that was what it was called. I'm fuzzy on the whole transferring permissions thing.

You should still be able to use the Download History option from Account Management as long as you're signed in.

Ok, so I am a big voice-over fan-nerd so I had to peek.

Deadpool? That's John Kassir. A man I know as the Crypt Keeper (Hello, boils and ghouls). And he's a funny lookin' dude that is married Julie "Darla from Angel" Benz. The rat (lucky) bastard!

Actually, besides those two, I saw a pretty amazing list of 'did you know X was also Y':
Sue Storm? Winnie Cooper
Thor? Fuzzy Lumpkins
Spider Woman? Dottie from Pee Wee's Big Adventure (and Tommy Pickles)
War Machine? Nathan Drake
Juggernaut? Bender
Wolverine? Roger Smith (and many more anime, though Orochimaru is another famous role)
Colossus? Tuvok
Captain America/Nick Fury? Sesshômaru
Human Torch? Dexter Douglas (Freakazoid!)
Moonstone? Daughter of Odo (Not that cool, but worth mentioning...)
