Apparently they're doing a sale on steam for QuakeCon this year.

I remember going to the very first quakeCon, I'm glad it made it.

This is a crazy deal: All Current iD and Bethseda games at once for 69 bucks. If I didn't already own almost all of them I'd jump on it.

I picked up Elder Scrolls GotY Deluxe. For $8, why not.

I'm tempted to drop $5 on Commander Keen, even though I'm 90% positive I'd never get around to picking it up.

After all that excitement for Oblivion for the PC, my dreams are shattered. I can't get the frickin Mods to work that need OBSE. I have no way of telling if OBSE is working and all of the mods that require it cause the game to crash. I guess I'll just be playing it mod-less. *sigh* :(

*edit*

This has reached a new level of frustration that I believe will be hard to match for a long time to come. I feel like a kid trying to fit a square cube into the circle slot on those Fisher Price toys. I can't believe this many people swear by mods in Oblivion, yet it's this ridiculous to get them to work. I'm borderline going to uninstall this game and say screw it all together and take the $8 loss. I think I'd find it easier learning to launch a DoS attack against Google than to get a simple Deadly Reflex mod to work.

That is a ridiculous amount of games for $70.

If there were more diversity in the game selection, I might bite. Unfortunately, it's almost all variations of Quake, Doom, and Hexen, with the other three classics: Morrowind, Oblivion, and Fallout 3. Considering there's still three days left of the sale, I'm sure Fallout 3 GotY will be on sale for around $20-25. With Oblivion being around $8, you could pick up two of the better games from that pack for under $30. Just saying. If you like Quake, Doom, and Hexen, that's a hell of a deal.

Yeah, I know. I actually own the base games of all of those except for Morrowind. I don't have the mission packs and such for Quake or Doom(though, I do have the master levels for Doom 2). Still, I love me some FPS, especially id FPS.

That's weird, I never had a problem getting any of my mods to work. Perhaps it has something to do with Steam. I know Steam likes to install the game files in a weird location that may be causing the mods some trouble.
