When you say things like "so wish," I was running on the assumption that wishes were worth at least $20 to make come true.

Wow. It looks like they're keying in on the proper cyberpunk themes to extend the setting to a sequel appropriately. Now, we just have to see whether they get sucked into "let's string together a bunch of badass cinematic set piece abilities and cutscenes" or go for the original's open-ended skill development, multiple solution paths through the levels highlighting diverse approaches, and choice-and-consequence plotting that made Deus Ex great. It's hard to tell from the trailer.

All that said, I'm astounded that Squeenix is making a game I have any interest in. This must be the first time in at least a decade. That said, it's being developed by Eidos Montreal, so maybe I shouldn't be so surprised, and merely muse at the corporate politics that landed a creative team with a western vision in the lap of a boiler-plate JRPG factory.

Yeah, I watched that Friday night. It looks cool and I know he's supposed to be a clone and everything, but I still don't know how it's gonna work because that trailer made it seem like he wasn't a clone. But he dual wields now. I dunno why, but dual wielding lightsabers has always been totally badass to me.

Is HE the clone? Or did vader just clone him? There was an original in the first game that vader raised from a child.

And I agree, the duel wielding of lightsabers is badass.

I'm sure someone has already said this but he looks a whole lot like Doomsday from Smallville.

I can't believe I'm watching the MS press conference. This kinect **** looks so bad, it belongs on a 3am infomercial.

The only good thing to come out of this show so far is free ESPN for XBL Gold members. RIP cable.

The EA conference was okay. Dead Space 2 and Crysis 2 looked great. The dev for Crysis 2 said it was going to be 3D on all three platforms, so I'm wondering how they're going to do it on the 360? Microsoft hasn't announced 3D capability yet which makes me think they might go passive anaglyph (red/blue) as opposed to active shutter.

That's because the actor that plays him (Sam Witwer) did the voice acting for the character in both games, and his model is based off Witwer's face.

Cracked.com | The Day the Gaming Industry Died: Impressions from E3 2010

I've gotta say, I haven't seen a thing this E3 that has excited me in the least.

Hardware:
Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo...I hate to be prematurely negative, but we already have a Wii that I don't use at all. And that lack of use? Not because of the games that are out. It's because when I come home at night, I'm tired from a full day of work, and I don't have any desire to waggle my arms around like a goofball. And all of this motion sensory nonsense is steeped in party minigames. That's all you can do with it. You can't have an involved, in-depth gaming experience with these systems. What are you going to do, physically run around Albion for four hours straight? Also, this tech seems nice, but I seriously doubt it's ready for prime time. And you're going to do nothing but sour people on it when they plunk down $150 - $200 only to find a buggy, half-constructed motion system that they have to beat into submission to get it to recognize their desire to switch to another song.

Software:
Fable III? Yes please, Peter Molyneux, just keep shoving that undeserving franchise down our throats. You've still got a good art director, and the game still plays like ***. SS,DD.

Rock Band 3? ...Why? Haven't we reached a point that anything relevant to the Rock Band/Guitar Hero/DJ Hero/Ukulele Hero genre can be handled with DLC? Oh goodie, newer, more complicated controllers. That'll whet the appetite.

Oh look, more Call of Duty knockoffs. Because the world needs more of those.

As an avid FPS player, I'd argue that the gaming world does need that. Because MW2 has ruined quite a bit of the FPS market. They've flooded it with first time people who think the things MW2 got horribly wrong should be mainstay focuses of FPS games.

I don't see anything wrong with Medal of Honor trying to take some of the good of the CoD franchise, and merge it with the best of BFBC2 to try & get a competitive FPS going again out of the shitty rubble left behind by the crack pot idea's of MW2.

As far as Black Ops, well that's just to be expected with Activision. They want to churn out CoD's like they do Sports Franchises. My only hope is that Treyarch learns from Infinity War's giant flaming bag of pooh on every FPS'ers porch and fixes some of the crap we've been forced to endure.

Ignoring the issue of new controllers and gameplay enhancements, getting the games are cheaper than selling DLC. Green Day Rock Band, for example, came with 47 songs for $60. At current DLC rates, that'd be $90 worth of songs. RB3 will come with 83 songs for $60. Assuming you pay the $10 to export RB2, you still have 83 songs for $70. That's still a lot less than 83 songs for $165 at DLC rates.

I asked a guy I know at Best Buy, and he didn't know anything about when the new Xbox 360 would arrive. Meh. Oh well, not like I was going to buy one.

Who gives a **** about inFamous2, it's not even coming out before next year's E3. They only put it in there to take up time.

EPIC FAIL on Sony / SE's part for not showing FFvs13.
