A:CM tester admits Sega knew game blew

I've already been a victim of the Sega hype machine over craptastic games they made. The year was 2007 and this Hulk fan was super-hyped for this generation's Hulk game. All video footage looked like it was going to be Hulk: Ultimate Destruction (the greatest Hulk-based game ever made), but made for today's consoles. On top of that, it was confirmed you could change your skin to be Mr. Fixit and the Maestro(!).

How could that possibly go wrong?

Well, it did. The physics engine was terrible. The graphics looked fine (nothing spectacular) but the great thing about H:UD was that objects felt like they were heavy, and that the Hulk was really powerful as he lugged and kicked them around. In this game, they felt like they were made of paper mache and would float ever so gently on the breeze as Hulk tossed them around. The combat system and general storyline was also quite terrible.

Ever since then, Sega was on my radar for making bad games and as the years went by games they released only confirmed what I already knew.

So it's no surprise to me that this Aliens game is sub-par. I am sure some folks will get some enjoyment out of it. But my guess is that most people "enjoying" it are forcing themselves to do so far more than they should normally have to. Possibly, like me in 2007, because admitting otherwise would be the same as flushing cash down the toilet. Which, I've learned, is essentially what people do with Sega games this generation.
