The enemies in the main storyline missions are all synthetics. That makes Tali a real winner.

No, they aren't. Collectors and husks are biological and can't be hacked or stunned with overload/disrupter ammo. Plus, they have armor and biotic barriers. No shields.

Honestly, I never chose my party makeup based on the enemies I was going to be facing, and I did just fine. I always choose Tali/Mordin/Legion/Thane on a whim because I feel they're the best characters. Combat effectiveness isn't a concern unless you're playing on Insanity, which isn't even really enjoyable.

Insanity is enjoyable, though! IF you like pulling your hair out in frustration because you picked assault rifles instead of picking up the widow like the retard you are!

(I'm totally talking about my self, fyi)

I liked going with Garrus and Thane (didnt get legion till near the end) for mass sniper justice. I'd carry an SMG, singularity and shockwave myself for husk rushes, and we did pretty good ;-p

Can the Revenant 3 shot the last boss? Yeah, didn't think so.

The charge up time on that is way too long to just be standing around like a goon on hardcore or insanity.

EDIT:

Also, another reason the Revenant sucks is because you have to play a solider to use it meaning you can't be an infiltrator.

I'm assuming the people and weapons I dont recognize are from DLC? Kasumi, the Widow and Revenant, Cain?

Widow is the M-98 sniper rifle. Best in the game. Only useable by soldier and infiltrator classes. Pretty sure it's not DLC.

The Revenant is the soldier-exclusive heavy machine gun that ruins people's day. I think there are Geth that use it in some places.

The Cain is the nuke launcher. You can research it once you get.. I think it's 5 levels of Heavy Weapon Ammo.

The Widow and Revenant are the other two weapons that were lying on the ground in the collector ship when you got that snazzy new Claymore shotgun on your vanguard. I assume infiltrators and vanguards just get the weapon that suits their class and move on. Soldiers get to pick which one they want.

Besides cheating? Not really.

There is a finite number of credits in the game, which is not enough to buy all of your upgrades (without counting for having to buy fuel and probes to get resources). Heaven **** forbid you miss a stash somewhere on a misison.

Yeah, you really have to import cash at the beginning to buy everything. If you're on PC, you can use a utility to hack your imported save and start off with a grip of money and paragon/renegade points.

If you import a ME1 save file and have completed ME2, starting a new character will start you off with a lot of credits. Other than that, the PC will have debug commands, I'm sure. On the console version, you can sometimes spam the A button when finishing a hack or bypass and get it again. You can sometimes get 3 or 4 hacks or bypasses on a single terminal netting you extra credits.

Plus, having all of the DLC bonus missions will give you even more credits.

The java-based PC savegame editor was modded to work on 360 save files. I can't walk you through getting at them, though.

Arrival is coming March 29th. Last DLC for ME2 and will serve as a bridge between ME2 and ME3. Should be good times, though I worry because of how little it costs. Might not be very long. Then again, Project Overlord is the same price and it was pretty damn long for 560 points.

Downloading Arrival as we speak. Unfortunate that my internet connection sucks this time of day. Pretty sure it isn't available for the PC or PS3 yet, though.
