I don't know how many were backers or have picked it up, but the game's been out for over a week now and has received its first patch. Meanwhile, a community driven effort is underway to create a 100+ hour campaign. It has some of the essential look and feel of Shadowrun, although I notice that mages can't really chain together spells. Also, the ubiquitous lined coat is not ubiquitous. Ran through it the first time as a physical adept (well, I did a roll-your-own, not the archetype). The fights are pretty easy in the included adventure, but I found that it was fairly simple to get through as a melee character. I'm not sure there's enough cyberware slots, but time will tell. I'll have to cyber up on the next run and see what I can do with wired reflexes.

Last I read, wired reflexes were bugged and caused you to "dodge" beneficial effects as well. The +1 move and bugged auto dodge doesn't really seem to be worth the essence or nuyen. Honestly, cyberware as a whole seems a little lackluster.

Cherry Bomb is probably the best name ever for a red-haired elf bartender.

I like this game. It's a tad easy, though. Maybe the community stuff will offer more of a challenge.

So... this is the second time I've seen it happen. I'm storming the corp headquarters, and I've got my team on overwatch while the decker does his thing. Door opens up, Lone Star comes in, overwatch triggers, and my street samurai explodes. Bullets everywhere! Geeks everybody, including my team. Full 360 coverage. He even frags the mage standing behind him.

It can't be a grenade or something, because when you overwatch and kill someone, they don't get to continue their action. I think it's a bug in the shotgun coding, because I'm pretty sure it's my shotgunner that's doing it, and not my rifleman.

It's a bit short.

I have it but can't try it till I get home. From what I hear, it appears to be based on the 2E or 3E ruleset. 4E is vastly superior (although 2E and 3E were not bad).

2E ruleset, at best.

Meh, I've heard 12 hours? That's 3-4x the length of a lot of AAA shooters.

Well, with the level editor, there could be pretty much infinite amount of time played as long as people make quality campaigns.

The point of the introductory run is just that, to be an introductory run. They're counting on the community to build a thriving run library with the editor. In fact, they're going to run some editor workshops at GenCon. Meanwhile, the additional content the HBS guys are working on is the upcoming Berlin pack.

There are a few new campaigns and one-shot runs popping up already.

I just finished Stuffer Shack. You go to the Qwik-E-Mart to get a burrito after a run to find the place being robbed by gangsters. Being a concerned citizen with a panther assault cannon, you decide to intervene.

Pretty much THE classic Shadowrun adventure. Awesome.

Sounds a lot like the quick-'run published in the 1st edition book

And as a starter adventure for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th editions.

Hmm, my Steam won't sync anything for this game. I'm wondering if it's Steam or if its the game.

I haven't had a problem using Shuyung's backer code. I did find out the other day that stuff wasn't updating because I wasn't logged in to Steam.

I'm playing the Berlin expansion. Late game. One of the last missions. This gangbanger gets fresh with me. Things escalated rapidly. There was surprisingly little dialogue to navigate to move on with the main quest. I liked it.

Remember kids! Don't pick fights with street samurai.
