It must be pretty awesome to be Square, and get the privilege of just releasing your old **** again when you run out of ideas... ;)

Hasn't this been what Nintendo has been doing for years? ;)

I know it says on PS4 first, but hopefully that means a PC release later. Otherwise, sucks to be me.

I dunno, I feel like that's different. Every new Mario game iterates on previous ones' gameplay and adds in new types of powerups, character abilities, and so on that are constantly evolving the way levels can be designed and the types of challenges the game's platforming gameplay can offer.

I don't get that from Square's remakes. At best, you could say that's what their new entries in the FF "franchise" do.

It's possible that they could somehow fix the issues with the game while giving it a graphic makeover, which was done some what with previous iterations of their remakes. If they make it for the PC, actually fix the dialog/plot issues, and don't take away Cid's cigars (what's he gonna light his dynamite with?) then I might be interested. Still rather have a new Dragon Warrior.

To be fair to Square, they have been saying "no" to this particular fan request since 2007. It's about time they gave in.

It's funny, cause just a few months before I was arguing with people about them doing it. We ultimately decided it would never happen. I'm a little alarmed that they'll be making some story changes though....

Current Square kind of sucks. FF has almost no currency with me these days.

Lulz. I hear Hyrule Warriors was the best Dynasty Warriors game and the worst Zelda game.

I don't know about worst Zelda game, but that's pretty accurate overall. It does fill a niche that's been missing from the Zelda series lately, which has been full of puzzles and stupid mini games, but has lacked the hero fighting monsters aspect. The main premise to Hyrule Warriors is: get master sword, beat face, go **** up Ganon.

They announced in the beginning that the game would be episodic, or released in parts. I expected it would be similar to the original 3 disc content split.

I don't like the sound of three 60-hour FFXIII-type titles.

Yeah, "episodic" is fine. FFXIII-ing it is major overkill.

Dear god... not FFXIII anything, that was by far the worst pile of overrated **** that Squeenix has ever done.

Sorry, that title belongs to FFXIV version 1 and The Spirits Within.

FFXIV now is actually really good. I'm talking about the terrible first release version.
