I'm not really interested in the whole feminism, sexism, and gaming conversation that's occurring on different forums at the moment, but I'm not going to get all uppity about anyone else wanting to discuss it. |

That's Dr. Christina Hoff Sommers. One may have issues with her politics, but she's speaking about this subject rather factually. I get that she's rather disliked by feminists and the AAUW for a wide variety of reasons, but Dr. Sommers generally has copious bibliographies, data, reference points, and citations in her papers and books. Her conclusions and opinions are politically charged and objectionable to some people, but that's likely because she disagrees with the social justice penchant of Gender Studies and other marginal group focused academics. |

That's frequently the case with her... I disagree with as much as I agree with, but one can't say her positions aren't well researched and logically thought out. She's thought provoking and at the very least, not entirely wrong. Perhaps she's entirely right. |
