And it looks like Blizzard hasn't finished milking the Warhammer cloning well dry, but has decided to throw in a healthy dose of Team Fortress 2 cloning, as well. Polygon's got a preview of characters up, too. |

Wow, I really figured I'd ruffle at least some feathers with the Warhammer/TF2 cloning comment, and be asked to defend it. |

At this point, it's pretty well known even among Blizzard fans that they ripped off everything they've ever published from Games Workshop. |

At least they are branching out and ripping off someone else now. |

These are basically the fun parts taken from what used to be project Titan. Source |

That makes a lot of sense. Salvaging the Dev costs. I'm sure overwatch is going to be "much more accessible TF 2" designed to pull in the rest of the world, how blizz does. |

Also, Blizz said many times during Blizzcon (I watched the live stream) that the 12 heroes they showed so far are just the ones they had ready for the build they brought. The have MANY more heroes in the works |

Yeah, I've seen this. And yeah I know it's the scraps of Titan. Honestly, I don't think it looks as good as TF2. TF2 was designed with acute attention to detail. The classes were designed to be distinctly and, especially, visually unique. Very simple lines create very easy to comprehend silhouettes. The look is elegant, clean, and refined. Even the head shapes and positions were designed with sniping in mind. Overwatch just looks like a big, clunky, busy mess. |

What he said. Sure it looks nice but it looks like too much. Also...way too much cute. |

I have hard time believing that the artistic mess that is overwatch is an improved version of TF2. But, I'm open to being proven wrong. |

Annnnd 40$ (60$ for deluxe). Really surprised it's not free to play, when that's it's competition. Of course, it is blizzard, so there's a community of diehards to milk before it goes F2P later. |

My guess is that since this game is the remnants of "Titan" the higher-ups are demanding to recoup some of that money. |

Tried a little bit of this over the weekend on the Xbone. Just a tiny bit. I played Player Vs. AI on easy. I thought the maps looked really good and the control was pretty easy. After the tutorial all I played with was the Archer dude. I died a total of three times by falling off the map or down in a well. Other than that, nothing else killed me. The game I played was just a very basic capture or defend a control point. Though the last game I did had a car you had to escort to a point. I want to tell you it was fun but...meh. It just felt like something to do while killing time. I thought about upping the difficulty but the game did not grab me at all. It was very nice looking though and I saw no real issues. I'll just stick with Destiny. That is much more my speed. |

I felt like it flowed well and functioned fairly tightly, but honestly, versus isn't my cup of tea. If it had more interesting co-op than bots that tier to punching bag, trivial challenge, and aimbot, then maybe, but.. |

Necropost I guess? I've been enjoying this game. I can do a single match in 10 minutes and get back to studying. It's fun, easy to learn, and my oldest kid enjoys the characters moves (and the origin story animated shorts). I like it because I can play a variety of things that don't require being able to get headshots to be successful. I'm not beholden to any other similar franchise, so I guess I don't have any angst over what this supposedly ripped off. But the quality is top notch. |
