From a discussion DS and I were having earlier today. Playing FO4 has got me thinking about the most Evil, Amoral corporations to grace our Fiction. I generally think Vault-Tec is damn near, if not on top of the list. They did some **** up, repugnant **** in the name of "Science!" that hasn't really been matched elsewhere. Thoughts? |

The Umbrella Corporation's gotta be up there for pure evil. Aperture Science, on the "amoral" side. |

Off the top of my head: Shinra (FF7) Czerka Umbrella Not really a coorporation, but Cerberus did some pretty repulsive **** in ME1. And the Illusive Man really didn't do anything to redeem himself in either of the sequels, either. I mean, I understand his motives, but the ends don't justify the means. |

Cerberus was very "Ends Justify The Means" to save Humanity, they did bad things. There's probably a spectrum of "Evil/Amoral" that can be gleaned here |

Yea, I am with Kaffis on Czerka. They are right up there with the worst of them. |

I'll throw Weyland-Yutani in the mix as well. Maybe Blue Sun. Morley Cigarettes. Zeus Genetics. Biosyn. The Shop (government sponsored, but still). |

Oh, I didn't see that somewhere between Facebook and here it got broadened beyond video games. I must ponder. |

A lot of those are kind of cartoonish "for the evulz". I'll go for Kuat Drive Yards. Sith Lord ruling the galaxy? Well, who cares, that contract for 25,000 Star Destroyers sounds like some damn fine money! Yeah, they can BDZ a planet, but who gives a ****; there's something like 400 million stars in a galaxy, no one will miss a few melted worlds. |

The Presteign House Czerka Tyrell Corporation Whatever Zorg's company was called Black Mesa Oddly enough, when I thought about it, the Tessier-Ashpool S.A. was a rather sympathetic crazy megacorp antagonist. I'll go along with Weyland and Blue Sun above. GOOMH, 'Skeee. |

None of those are nonprofit organizations looking to improve humanity by having us all spiritually and physically raped by extraplanar insects that steal our bodies. |

All the Whedonverse fans around here and no one mentions Wolfram & Hart. What's up with that? |

However, one could argue that Wolfram & Hart is not sufficiently distinguished in their evil business practices from real life law firms. |

OCP? Soylant Corperation? I'm going to go with Aztechnology though. (though most of them from Shadowrun qualify) |

Aztechnology is a leader in world evil, once you realize what they're really doing. |

Honorverse has Manpower, Inc. which is basically the worst possible combination of "genetically tailored humans" and "slaver". Causing several space stations, each several dozen kilometers in length to de-orbit over populated planets is... bad. |
