Battleborn open beta is going on now on PC, from the 13th to the 18th. So far, it's pretty great. |

Why is it pretty great? They've done a really good job of fleshing out the individual characters, as well as making them fun to play. There are quite a few, and they all have individual playstyles. Melee, Ranged, Support, they're all valid playstyles, and can be configured with incidental gear that's applied during gameplay situationally. They've also streamlined the loot system since borderlands, no more waiting for 74 individual compartments to open and loot to spring out, now you can open boxes with a quick attack and grab loot much faster, really reduces the slowdown from grabbing things. I typically play co-op or story modes, I was pretty surprised at how much I enjoyed the team based modes, especially the robot sacrifice mode that required each team to escort their bots to a sacrificial furnace for points. |
