Anybody else get this game yet?

$40 for the full game. And even though it's from EA (groan!) there are No Loot boxes and no real-money transactions. Every unlock in the game is bought with in-game currency that is pretty easy to earn.

It's a space-sim that is very much a spiritual successor to the old X-wing / Tie fighter series.

There's a pretty decent single player campaign, where you alternate between flying for the Empire and the Rebellion/New Republic. Mostly takes place after the destruction of the 2nd Death Star.

It also has a pretty good 5v5 multiplayer mode, although it's a bit buggy at the moment. It's available on Xbox, PS4, and PC, and is 100% cross play across all platforms.

It also supports full HOTAS, Rudder pedals, and VR (again, VR's a bit buggy right now, too) that looks like it would be amazing to play.

I'm currently using my Thrustmaster T.16000m HOTAS setup, and it's working really well.

If you're a fan of the old X-wing, Tie Fighter, XvT, or XWA games, I highly recommend picking this one up.

I want to try it out, but it sounded like the single player mode was pretty minimal and I usually don't like PvP much.

Yeah, the Single Player campaign is dreadfully short. It's only like 14 missions, and 6-8 hours. I REALLY hope the game does well, and they release an expansion, or decide to do another one with an extended campaign.

The PVP is a lot of fun, but I know it's not for everyone. You can play Fleet Battles vs AI, either Solo, or Co-op, but that would probably get pretty boring after a while.
