Looking for some recommendations for WoW add-ons. Not looking for anything raid centric. Primarily just general utility, action bar optimization, pet utilities and aspects (for hunters), perhaps for professions as well. DPS would be interesting but not a primary purpose. Good mapping utility would be nice too. Oh, and fishing.. fishing is important. :p Anyone using the curse client to keep add-ons updated? Pro/Cons? I'm always a bit hesitant to install stuff like this unless its a trusted thing. |

I have used Curse Client for a year with no problems at all. My list: ArkInventory - If I had to list a can't-live-without mod, this would be it. Makes inventory management so much easier than the terrible default. Bartender4 - for your actionbars Auctioneer - for selling/buying Cartographer - Map mod, so it doesn't take up the whole screen Atlasloot - lets you look up loot drops for any instance at any time, saves you from alt-tabbing. |

http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addo ... apher.aspx I'm not a big fan of the 3.0 iteration. Oh, and use Recount for dps, healing, death, friendly fire, etc. meters all rolled into 1 |

I also use: Titanpanel w/professions and currency Lil' Sparky's Workshop (godsend if you do a lot of crafting- lets you see current AH prices for mats and finished products if you have Auctioneer/Auctionlite). Advanced Tradeskill Window Enchantrix MKScrolling Battle Text Dominos Deadly Boss Mods ZomgBuffs Auctionlite Recount Omen Ratingsbuster |

When I was still playing, I had to have: X-Perl Unit Frames CTMOD Recount Deadly Boss Mods (it's sad that it's practically necessary... I feel it's dumbed-down the game somewhat) ShockAndAwe (for enhancement shaman) |

Because they're the ones who can't stand it when I rub my "numbers" in their face (which I go out of my way to do with people like that), and they're never even close because being dead = no DPS. |

It's pretty rare that you'll pull aggro as a dps if the tank is decent in the slightest. In the time it took me to stealth to the mob on pull, the tank would generally get enough aggro that I wouldn't ever have to worry about pulling. It's nice to have for a just-in-case situation, but it nowhere near necessary. |

I play with very good tanks and I still have to watch Omen at times. It's hard for them to keep threat when you're dropping 7k dps. |

Was starting to top 5.5k+, with some naxx and ulduar gear mixed. The tanks for the most part did outgear me a bit, but the only fight I ever really had issues with were ones that favored me in the first place, such as patchwerk. Everyone should be running Omen if they're raiding, whether they're in danger of pulling aggro or not, but for the vast majority of players I'd say it's just nice to have. Of course, from my pugging experience, if you can top 4k you're in the top 10% of players horde side on my server. Maybe even top 5%. |

OMG I love OPie! Took a while to set up and configure, but I was able to cut out 2 of my action bars, the ones that had things I didn't use all that often on them. All my potions, buffs, etc. |

Yeah that OPie looks very cool I will have to add that myself. I hate bar clutter. Miks scrolling combat looks like a winner too. |

I also like CtMod for some small customization features like chat scrolling, tooltip replacement, etc. |
