My wife is really into this game, called League of Legends. It's basically a refined Defense of the Ancients (made by the guys who made the original mod) with a lot more bells and whistles thrown in.

The best thing about it is that you can play it for free. There is a retail version, but it's not required. The game itself can be downloaded and played (with up to 5 vs 5 players) for free.

I would recommend checking it out.

This game is BADASS.

It's everything DoTA wasn't able to be, because the game engine restrictions that come with a mere WC3 map.

The interface is more suited for his style of play, as are the controls. The game selection interface is great. And I even like the business model they used.

In short, get it now.
