I must say, I was surprised.

His tiny hand perched atop the mouse is hilarious to me.

Something tells me he isn't actually playing and someone else is using a wireless keyboard/mouse off screen.

The off-screen person, then, is very well synced to the kid's attention to the game, then.

Yeah, I thought the same at first. Watch the kids little ticks and quick movements with the mouse, it's perfect tracking. If it's a fake, it's incredibly well done.

I am willing to believe this is possible. At the same time, I can't beat the feeling I'm being played.

I will admit that it is possible. But I just can't fully believe it from a fixed camera point of view internet video.

His mouse-tracking is too spot on with the game to be fake. As unbelievable as it is that a 3 year old is that good at the game, it's more unbelievable that they could fake it with his mouse tracking being so spot on.

I'm guessing "Finlay", Athien.

I was skeptical, then watching his movements became unskeptical. But then I saw him completely lift the mouse off of the mouse pad, make a sweeping gesture, and saw the camera on the game turn. Shouldn't have happened without contact with the table. I'm back to skeptical again.

See 1:17 marker.

I can lift my optical up off the surface and it still reads. Also, based on his sensitivity (pretty dang high), it would only have to read the end of the motion to turn the character completely around. Like I said, if it's a fake, it's a great one.

I have an optical and a laser mouse. And neither of those register movement when I lift them off my mousepad, even just milimeters. My sensitivity is also crazy high, so much so that 95% of people who use my mice can't do it and have to turn the sensitivty down by at least 75% to be functional for them.

I agree that it is a good fake, but I am still leaning towards the "fake" part.

Hahah we're not alone, youtube video is up to 463 comments already arguing about this. Just hard to believe that a 3yr old could do it.

I do not underestimate the intelligence and capability of children as many, MANY adults do. Usually when an adult believes that some topic or content is "over their heads" they're often wrong. And at the age of 8-9 years old, I was beating games like Super Mario Bros. and Mike Tyson's Punch Out without any help or cheating. One of my friends was able to beat Mega Man 1 at the same age, and doing that without any save-states that emulators give you.... that's an extremely impressive feat.

3 years old seems a bit young for precise first person games. And I wanted to believe this is real. I just saw things in there that, while looked very good, didn't quite match up and rang my "fake" alarms.

You can move/turn with the keyboard as well, so moving while lifting the mouse isn't necessarily an indicator that he isn't in control.

The more I watch this, the more convincing it is. I will give the kid the benefit of the doubt.

The head turn you're talking about at 1:17 is a scripted event. I know that scene, it's in the demo.
