Here is a very good friend of mine's miniatures site.

Maybe it will help with your miniatures fix needs.

All I see is blur!

If that's footslogging guard, you'll have your work cut out for you.

I may have to hijack that for my avatar...

Well I had them all laid out by squad trying to fit them into the new list so I just snapped a couple of quick and apparently dirty pictures.

For the record I do have a couple of tanks that I didn't take a picture of.

Pre 5th ed, one of my favorite armies to face was IG - so many squishy targets for my pulse rifles...

Too bad 5th ed like killed the tau army :(

Interestingly, I've found many people contend the Tau were helped most by the change to 5e.

I played pretty heavy in 4th ed, and I havent done THAT much in 5th, so its maybe just my playstyle....

I REALLY dislike the single roll for first deployment AND go first (not counting the 1 out of 6 chance to reverse that), plus if you choose to deploy first you MUST take first turn... plus the even more emphasis on "ZOMGMORECLOSECOMBATNOWNOWNOWNOW" really doesnt help how I like to play my army...

oh yea, and defensive vehicle weapons S4 or less = lame. I LOVED being able to move 12 and fire my hammerhead's railgun and both burst cannons and different targets....

Everyone seems to think that close combat is worse in the newer editions but i've never seen 4+5 e berserkers tear it up like they did in the earlier editions. (i've seen small squads just tear down my entire line in a single turn.) I think it's better or at least it's over better.

I've never gotten to play against tau, that was about the time I took my break.

Is that guard, Rori? When you said you picked up your new codex, and when the first squad I tried to look closely at had square bases, I was assuming Fantasy.

Okay, yeah. The lower right look like guardsmen to me now. I was wondering if that was a mix of fantasy and 40k, because those are definitely firearm poses.

The imperium of Man had their first showing last night in five years. It was a blast even if those death company guys mopped the floor with me.

A couple of the guys said I was good to survive four rounds against such an assault force especially with the deep strikers showing up like they did.

The Emperor blessed your dice when you stood back up and kept fighting against all odds!

...and then you died, which is what a good guardsman does ;)
