My dear little kobolds, we are having a party tonight, and that means we need some babies to eat! King Torg (ALL HAIL KING TORG!) demands that you bring back babies for the feast, or he'll be eating the lot of you!

Kill cows!
Drink beer!
Eat babies!
Get eaten!
Burn chickens!
Learn magick!
Sack towns!
Bark like a kobold!

What you need to play:

2d6 rolled four times to be distributed among, in order:
    Brawn
    Ego
    Extraneous
    Reflexes
Four skills picked from the following lists, one each:
Brawn: Bash, Duelist, Lift, Swimming, Wrassle
Ego: Hide, Lackey, Track, Traps, Speak Human
Extraneous: Bard, Cook, Cower, Trade, Spelunk
Reflexes: Athlete, Fast, Throw, Sneak, Steal
One 1d6 roll on the random edge chart.
One 1d6 roll on the random bogie chart.
One 2d6 roll on the random weapon chart.
One 2d6 roll on the random armor chart.
One 2d6 roll on the random gear chart.
One 1d8 roll on the random alignment chart (unless you are blonde).

Quick question, but was this supposed to be in the Gaming forums?

Seems more like a PbP game startup.

Or are you just advertising the start of a new game?

It plays a little more like a board game than most pnp games, and you seat yourselves around the table according to the attributes that determine your initiative order. The premise, of course, is to kidnap human babies and take them back to the kobold caves so that King Torg (ALL HAIL KING TORG!) can have his party. As everyone knows, human babies are the tastiest things in the world, followed closely behind by chicken and kobold.

The rules are weighted toward killing kobolds, generally in spectacular fashion. Kobolds are the faceless horde. Upon kobold death, the player may stand up, eulogize his fallen kobold, and make a new one immediately (and keep their victory points). Character creation is intentionally very quick and easy so that it can be done on the fly to bring in a new kobold. Also, so that inebriated players aren't at a disadvantage.

Step 1: Make kobold
Step 7: Cause mayhem in the human town of West Boondocksville
Step 3: Kidnap babies
Step 4: Die a Kobold Horrible Death
Step 9: Make a new kobold
Step 3: Eat each other
Step 8: Make new kobolds
Step 12: Earn victory points
Step 6: Die another Kobold Horrible Death
Step 5: Make another new kobold
Step 2: Win!

Basically, any task will have a difficulty, which is the number of dice you will roll on a random number generator. You're trying to roll below a particular trait of yours. So if you want to hit something, say a chicken, and it's a difficulty of 4, you roll 4 dice and try to get below your Brawn. Now, aside from killing and eating, kobolds only know how to do four things (one per attribute). For example, only kobolds who have taken the hide skill know how to hide. Lift allows you to carry one extra item over your maximum of two (kobolds may ordinarily only carry one item per paw). Lackey allows you to cast kobold magick. Bard allows you to lie, etc.

Any time you fail a skill roll, you earn a Kobold Horrible Death Check. Every time you earn a Kobold Horrible Death Check, your lucky little kobold wins a chance to die a Kobold Horrible Death!

Each turn, kobolds are able to move (based on their Extraneous attribute) and perform actions. The objective is to earn bring babies back to the kobold caves. (I will have a hex map of West Boondocksville posted for reference).

A secondary objective is to earn victory points, which may be used to buy things and upgrade your kobold, or hoarded to win the game. At the end of a session, the player with the most victory points reserves the right to laugh in the faces of all of the other players. Victory points may be earned in a variety of ways such as:
Bringing a baby to the kobold caves
Killing a kobold (the mayor gets to earn victory points for this, too!)
    Killing critters and townsfolk
    Cooking a recipe
    Random kobold acts of mayhem.

You'll have to join the pbp gamers group so you can actually see the subforum, but I'm collecting all of that in this thread. I posted one so people can get an idea what a finished kobold will look like. I've also gotten kobolds from Kaffis and Ranelagh.

Most of the skills are self-explanatory, although I suppose I should go post them now.
