Ok, so Im in letherin or wherever with the nifty girl and the funny soldier dude and its all like WOWWwww and stuff. Im an elf mage and I have socks and its fun So. I have two questions: Is there any DLC I need to buy now before I outlevel it or can I play through main campaign first then buy more if I want to eat more without missing it? Is there anything I need to know about character development (skills, stats, etc) to avoid making the game unplayable later? right now Im just choosing fun spells and stats. Level 6 atm ;-p |

You can play through DLC whenever you want. It doesn't really impact the game. All of your character development is completely irrelevant. Everything will scale to deal with whatever you have, and you will never get ahead of the curve. The only exception to this is multiple mages with crushing prison. |

During the game: download and play "The Stone Prisoner" (if it didn't come with your copy), "Warden's Keep," and later in the game, "Return to Ostagar." "Leiliana's Song," too (after you meet Marjolaine). Play "The Golems of Amgaraak" afterward. |

Stone Prisoner (which should be free), Warden's Keep, and Return to Ostagar will affect your playthrough if they are available to you. Using them after the fact is a bit of a waste. The others are neat, but don't affect the campaign. |

As long as he didn't buy the game used, yeah. Stone Prisoner should be free. And it is probably the best DLC the game has to offer, strangely enough. |

Wow, this game is great, but also TERRIBLE on the console. No way to heal villagers or really control what your party is up to, to select targets, or exhibit control. Its fine for 90%, but when you get a protection mission for folks around you, it just doesnt work. It really shows that it's a bad port - even simple things like the Codex dont work without the mouse - theres no way of seeing what are new entries, because to scroll to new entries you have to select them, and that removes the 'new entry' marker before it gets onto the screen. Genius! |

You can fully control your party. It just requires a lot of pausing and switching between characters. Not really sure on what you mean by having any protection missions, though. And I can't think of any time where I would need to heal an NPC. |

When you protect that village from darkspawn the militia and villagers get raped over. Getting better at ut. Really unintuitive control paradigm |

You mean the undead at Redcliffe? The entire militia can die and there will be no difference in the end. I should know because the last time I did that part I was trying out a mage and dropped a fireball down there killing all of them. |

Actually if nobody dies you get some extra trinket (I think it's a helm) as a reward. The speech the nobleman gives changes as well to indicate not a single life was lost. There may also be an achievemnt, i forget. |

Not an achievement because I have them all. And yeah, I do know there's slightly different dialogue. But it's not a requirement. |
