You can have one for your PS3 now:

EDIT: I was wrong. Apparently I misread and thought that the sticks were interchangeable. They are not. They are simply fixed in the 360 positions.

Pretty nice. Now all the PS3 needs is some games worth owning that aren't multiplatform.

I believe someone just mentioned them, God of War 1-3. :)

And Uncharted 1/2 and Killzone 2, and Metal Gear Solid 4, and Little Big Planet, and . . . list goes on.

Uncharted..... THAT was the game I was trying to think of the other day... my boy beat Madagascar and I wanted FFXIII out of my gorram house....so we went and got Dante's Inferno, and I was trying to think of the other big game for the PS3.

And for my street cred...
I have a N64, Gamecube, Dreamcast, Wii, PS1, PS2, PS3, 2x XBox, XBox 360 Elite and we have a Fairchild Channel F system. I miss my NES and SNES.

My next goal is to pick up a Jaguar, 2600, Master System, Genesis, NES, SNES and a Turbo Graphx 16.

And I am becoming more and more of a PS3 fan... just not enough to give up my precious 360.

*yawns*

EDIT:
I actually don't even have a horse in this race anymore anyway. I sold my 360 to get Starcraft 2 and some Bioware points for Dragon Age DLC(though, I still play Mass Effect on my brother's 360 since I don't own it for the PC...yet). I can't even think of the last console exclusive game that I was excited for. All of the best games these days can be found on the PS3, 360 and PC. Except Starcraft 2 which is PC exclusive. Think about it. Mass Effect, Modern Warfare, Fallout 3, Dragon Age...all multiplatform.

Anyway, as I've said before, each controller works fine with their respective systems. I just know most here prefer the 360 controller.

A universal PS3 one would be nice.

Hmm... I may have to pick one of those up. I find the PS controllers awkward in my hands, though I know others like them.

Honestly back in the day you could make quips about the PS3 not having exclusives, but it's not really true anymore. Now it's really just down to whatever system you feel fits you best. The games Rodahn mentioned are all great games. And I'm reminded that I still haven't played Uncharted 2 yet, I'll have to fix that. I did find the first one to be a tad overrated (8/10 game at best for me), but the second sounds pretty awesome.

I'd game on PC (with a 360 controller, when appropriate) above any of them. I own a PS3 (that I got brand new for $150) -- primarily using it as a media player, although I'm replacing it for that function (draconian drm --Cinavia made me buy a long HDMI cable to run to my computer --and poor codex support makes it better replaced by a standalone network media player), so now it's going to be relegated to Blu-Ray/DVD playing, and the few games my kids play on it.

That said, I have no great dislike for the PS3 controller. /shrug

I think the industry is gradually pulling away from exclusives, because they are instant market shrinkers. A game that is limited to one console cuts out a huge fraction of your potential customer base.

Personally, I tend to buy only exclusive titles, as I know they generally will be the best end-products. Although, I have been surprised from time to time on a multi-plat title (Borderlands and Darksiders come to mind).

As far as exclusives I care about, PS3 has Folklore, God of War, LittleBigPlanet, and Ratchet & Clank.

Xbox 360 has Alan Wake, Mass Effect, and...uh...Gears of War.

The best games this generation have been multiplatform. And they almost uniformly run better on the 360.

Yeah, I would like to see more co-development on cross-platform titles, but unfortunately, time and cost considerations make that a rarity. Cross-platform titles, developed simultaneously on their native platform from the ground up, would not show nearly the disparity that current ones do.

Mass Effect

Try again.

Blue Dragon, Halo, Crackdown(s), Dead Rising, Banjo-Kazooie, Fable 2, Forzas, Lost Odyssey, Perfect Dark Zero, PGR, Too Human.

I thought you liked Mass Effect. If you're referring to it being available for the PC as well, tough noogies. I don't consider PC games when discussing multiplatform rivalries. Apples to oranges, in my eyes.

Regardless, I care nothing about Halo or Forza (I've tried, they're just...meh), never cared to play Dead Rising, Crackdown, Lost Odyssey or Project Gotham Racing, and Blue Dragon, Fable, Perfect Dark Zero, Too Human and the latest Banjo-Kazooie are dreck. Well, to be fair, I'm not as harsh about Too Human as most, which is partially because I feel it's better than is generally agreed upon (though still not good), and partially because those guys made Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, which buys them a lot of goodwill in my eyes.

As far as the **** games go, Blue Dragon in particular fits the bill. Ye gods. I bought that game used from a Movie Gallery that was going out of business and paid $6 for it. I overpaid by at least $5.75.

Oh, I love Mass Effect! That said, Mass Effect 2 is releasing on Playstation 3. One can only assume that part three will, as well.

These are easily two of the best sandbox style games to come out this console generation. If you like this type of game, both of these are can't miss. Dead Rising is easily my favorite zombie themed game ever as well. Crackdown is just a game with lots of fun ridiculous things you can do.

I'd highly recommend them both.

Blue Dragon wasn't really that great, imo. I've lost my appetite for jrpg's in the last few years, and haven't really enjoyed one for awhile now.

Fable is so close to being amazing, it's just never quite reached it. Never understood why review publications rate it so highly. I'd give both a 7/10 or so. Mostly because they're both pretty short, and the combat system needs serious work. It's very simple and easy for the most part. Honestly, if the combat system were improved, it would easily jump to a 9/10.

Dead Rising was fun... until you died while trying to fight your way to the save point and had to do the annoying first boss fight again... and again... and again.

Good game, corrupted by an absolutely retarded save process.

I declare bullshit on this!

All they gave up as an exclusive title was the FF offering that made me sad to own. Not a great game like ME. Lets give them.... Sudeki

I was a bit cornfused at the decision to multi-plat ME as well. Then again, PS3 actually has a huge customer base now, unlike where it was in the not too distant past.

Exclusives are slowly going the way of the do-do.

Once you figure out how to take out the first boss quickly and easily, Dead Rising's first area isn't so bad.

It's just scampering back and forth and making sure everything goes according to schedule that gets hard.
