OK, I'm a MTG noob. I bought MTG Duels of the Planeswalkers off of Steam to check it out. It's kinda fun, even realizing that you cannot play fully custom decks. Anyhow, I have taken a liking to the Relics of Doom blue/black deck and using it for much of the single player campaign. So I get to the point in the campaign where I play against the same deck and it was pretty funny (I thought). My initial draw was 2 lands, 1 creature and 4 other misc. relics. I was thinking 'hmm, 2 lands...do I wanna draw again to try and get a few more?' Then, I saw what creature I had drawn: Spoiler: Now, I'm thinking 'ok, let's see how this goes.' And I kept my cards. So turns go back and forth. I'm getting lucky on drawing lands, so I'm able to throw one each turn but I'm not really dragging up any other creatures yet. The Angel costs 7 so I'm biding my time. Meanwhile, he's throwing creatures out every turn, including a Sharding Sphynx (Whenever an artifact creature you control deals combat damage to a player, you may put a 1/1 blue Thopter artifact creature token with flying onto the battlefield.) on about the 6th turn. I've only got 1 other creature in play so far and hadn't been worth blocking. So I'm down to 15 hp by now. Anyhow, I get the last land I need and I throw that Angel out. On the computers next turn I go negative HP, but I can't lose...muhahaha. How long can I make this last? Well, fast forward to end-game: He has a bazillion of those little 1/1 thopters out plus whatever other creatures. He never sends everything after me, holding back a couple dozen thopters each round, preventing me from wanting to attack with my meager band. Then, one turn the AI must have got pissed or something cause he sent everything after me. Which set up this: Spoiler: I trounced him right after that screenshot. I had been neg HP for about 10 turns already, but I ended up winning with -292hp muhahahaha. Anyway, maybe you had to be there. It was ridiculous. |

With the all-green large monster deck I managed to take an opponent to like -250 in one turn. That was fun. |

One thing you will learn with these decks is that they have a ton of land in them. If you only draw two to start with and you can play something in you hand for two, I'd keep. |
