I thought we already had a thread for this game, but I haven't found it. So, here it is.

Is anyone else planning on getting this tomorrow? I pre-ordered mine on Steam, which should be available within 6 or 7 hours. I have it pre-loaded and ready to go. I can't wait!

Reports are that the 360 version is buggy as **** and near unplayable without a launch-day patch.

Sounds like Obsidian strikes again.

I also saw the Xbox 360 version as of now, has exclusive rights to the DLC unless something is worked out in the future? :(

I have a great PC now and had been wanting to snag this on the PC.

I heard the issues about the 360 version. That's why I went with PC. Initial impressions are looking very good for the PC version. The only downside is the lack of the exclusive XBL DLC.

Starting this out this afternoon.

I ended up getting it for the PC. I figured might as well enjoy the mods & video quality since I have a PC that can run it maxed finally.

My first char is going to try & go for a melee specialist. We'll see how painful that becomes.

Kirby's Epic Yarn is getting higher reviews than this game.

Chew on that for a minute.

I can safely say I did not experience a possessed doctor in the opening sequence.

As buggy as the game is claimed to be, I'm hearing a lot more of it coming from the Xbox fans. At first, I experienced severe choppiness with the PC version. However, it's already been fixed by the community. I'm absolutely loving this game right now.

Downloaded it via steam, and have had issues with it locking up on me and not Steam for once, only the game, sound just keeps repeating and hangs at a black screen, happened 3 times about the same point everytime in the Intro last night.

I havent had to much time to mess with it last night New PC only 2 weeks old, Bioshock, TFT2, Company of Heroes, Metro 2033 all been ok so far. Only had like 2 hours to mess with it last night though, next 3 days off-work, so hopefully can get it working ok tonight when I get off.

Much love for the Exorcism Doctor. Didnt experience that at all, didnt notice any actual in-game bugs so far, but only played for 2 hours last night.

Is this a completely new campaign or is it based on the same character from vault 101?

Completely different, 3 years after the ending of Fallout 3, I think.

It still has an 86 over at metacritic. I mean, from the reviews I've been reading, they say it is an excellent game, but it just feels like a giant expansion rather than a new game. Which is fine. Fallout 3 had a perfectly fine game system. I am more interested with what the original creators of the franchise is going to do with it. That being said, I still can't afford this game until mid November it's looking like. Which kills me.

This review has convinced me to give it a miss for now. I'd rather go back and play through Fallout 3 again.

Xbox has given me a few hilarious ones, plus a showstopper (skillpoint gain being reset to being as though I have 5 Int and no Perk when I have 8 plus perk)

When Fallout 3 came out my newer PC had crapped out on me and I couldn't get it working again, so I was doing everything on my older backup PC which meant no playing any newer games. So instead, I actually watched an LP (Let's Play) of Fallout 3. The game looked great but of course everything was spoiled for me so there was no way I could play it. Now I have a new system and Fallout:New Vegas comes out, I downloaded it on steam and can't stop playing. Just imagine playing Fallout 3 for the first time, if you enjoyed that - that's where I'm at with this game. It's fantastic!

Clearly, this game is what Fallout 3 should have been. Better in every way possible. And I think the main reason is because of the Wild Wasteland trait.

It feels more like Fallout. The writing, the humor, the music(not the radio, the actual game music), the tie-ins with Fallout and Fallout 2. It just makes it all feel much closer together. They even mention things that were supposed to happen in the canceled Fallout 3 that they were working on before Black Isle Studios was closed down. The companion improvements were also fantastic as well.
