"Oh, I've wasted my life." Nothing important here, I was just surprised by all the zeroes.... So when do we Win the gamerscore? 50k? 100k? Microsoft will show up at our house and say good job and give us a pat on the back and a hug.

You win when you pack it all up, donate it to charity, find a Gamers Anonymous group and walk away forever. Microsoft is evil. It sucks your life away and encourages only online relationships. Free yourself, walk away, and can I have your stuff. |

If you enjoyed the time was it truly wasted? If you're chasing a number just to chase a number then maybe you need help as Mike says but I doubt that's the case. That said I'm all for turning it off and finding a social activity from time to time. I do it myself but I enjoy my limited game time. |

That's really barely anything (and mine's barely anything too). There's quite a lot of people in the multiple hundreds of thousands - the current record holder is over 500,000. So don't feel bad if you got it playing games you've enjoyed! I don't feel bad about any of mine, I've only maxed out games because I've really liked them. To get absurd Gamerscore numbers you have to play every damn game there is and farm points on absolutely awful stuff. |

Oh sorry, I think my post came off a bit more serious than it sounded, it was pretty tongue in cheek. I'm definitely not a point farmer, I was kind of surprised it was 35k on the dot. Someone has 500,000? I feel sorry for them. I remember reading an article about a housewife who was a point farmer, working towards 100k at the time, and it was absolutely astounding. I can understand the marketing idea behind achievement points, driving competition between friends, but to farm them just to farm them? They're a useless commodity! That's like... farming expired coupons. |

His blog thing: http://www.1milliongamerscore.com/ At least he's got a Guinness World Record certificate, I guess. |
