This is not an official Blizzard forum. I like that disclaimer at the bottom. |

If any of it happens to be true, it explains why I stop worrying about Blizzard releases. I've been done with WoW for quite awhile now based completely on the fact that they take almost two years to release expansions. |

While that is true, one thing Blizzard is good at is providing free content updates several times a year. |

Heh. I view it as a fitting continuation of the lore cycle. WoW raped WarCraft lore, from what I understand of it, now it's WoW: The Movie's turn to rape WoW lore. Someday, it'll be Wow: The Musical's turn. |

The WoW movie was announced a while back. Nothing new except the possible release date there. Anyway, SC2 Phoenix and Titan have caught my eye the most. Because I have no idea wtf they are. |

Titan is interesting, because it would have to be a new product. The others are rehashed stuff I'm already kind of tired of. |

My guess is that SC2 Phoenix might be a Wings of Liberty + Heart of the Swarm bundle. |

I have been saying for the last decade, and I still maintain, that if Blizzard's animation department did a full-length movie that it would be one of the best movie-going experiences I would ever have. But, live-action FTL. |

Wait, didn't we already get world of whorecraft? Are you trying to tell me that's not canon? |

Titan is blizzard's new, still secret mmo. We may get our first look sometime next year I would think. Perhaps blizzcon? Rumors have it actually being an mmofps, but we'll see I suppose. |

ToC was half-assed content, but I'm pretty sure it was intentionally so. Err, ok that may be not a great way to put it, but it's pretty clear they by no means considered it an equal to Ulduar or ICC. ToC hard modes were good but it was still only 5 bosses in 2 total rooms. Easy modes were pretty ridiculously easy, though, and I think they messed up there. Heroic Beasts fight was such a ridiculous jump in difficulty from normal mode anything that it made for pretty terrible progression. My guild should never, ever be able to get our first kill of every boss in ~1-2 or fewer hours in 25 man... and I think I only felt a small speed bump for Anub himself which quickly passed. RS was good (great? It's a sweet fight!) for what it is, but yeah it's still just one boss and some minibosses. Pretty inexcusable for the length of time ICC was current content. Cata comes December 7th at which point current raiding is T11 stuff. ICC T10 raids? Added in Dec 8th. 1 day short of a full year. Even for my guild which ended up with having some unbeaten content left in Sindra, Professor, and LK heroic 25 it was too long... when Deathwhisper proved to not just fall over for us in one or two tries, the people that were tired of ICC week 35 or whatever just stopped showing up. They were interested enough for RS though... I'm not saying they should've rushed Cata out early but the same thing sorta happened with Black Temple... they should start planning in extra time to finish stuff. Just like I should plan in extra time to get to class when I'm typing on messageboards instead... gotta go! :p |

I still believe they scrapped the raid that was supposed to go in ToC's place "at the last minute" and built the crappy ToC instead. There's lots and lots of set up in multiple zones for a troll raid that never materialized. I'd be surprised if one wasn't in the works at one point or another. There's also some indication that YS was supposed to be in a different raid, but got thrown into Ulduar for whatever reason. ToC was a huge disappointment, but I'd say many were disappointed with ICC as well. It wasn't terrible, but the best raid in WotLK was Ulduar, by far. Lots of awesome and fun bosses, with interesting hard modes. ICC should have been far more epic though. There were multiple story lines that were pointing towards resolution in ICC, but all we got was the newly reinvigorated war between the alliance and horde. Icecrown (the zone) could have been much better as well. I had really been hoping for an outdoor instanced raid where you push your way into the citadel, but all we got were a bunch of soloable quests that pushed the seat of the scourge back inexplicably. When I realized a couple weeks back that after the disapointment that was WotLK I wasn't really excited about Cata, I canceled my account. It doesn't officially end until the 14th, but I haven't touched it in two weeks and I don't see anything that will pull me back. |
