Thanks for the Vid!

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I've seen reports of people with modest systems getting some very impressive framerates at medium to high settings. Apparently, they have really optimized the graphics engine for this game, so that it won't bring your system to its knees like the first game did. Besides, the demo is a very good way to see if your PC is up to the challenge, heh.

Yeah I'm sure they had to optimize the **** out of their engine to get it to run on consoles well.

The gap between computers and consoles is growing pretty large. Personally I wouldn't want to spend time playing on 2006 or 2007 hardware.

Sometimes my 60" TV is far preferable to my 27" monitor. Until I decide to run a 100' HDMI cable from my bedroom to my living room, I'll stick with consoles.

Would this actually work? I'd think there'd be lots of signal attenuation.

Probably not. I personally only have a 25' cable at home (comp to bedroom tv, works great) and I've heard of people using up to 50' without issue, but 100' seems to be pushing it. Monoprice has some 131' cables made for in-wall installation, though, so I would imagine they actually work.

From what I can tell it only depends on the build quality, and the Monoprice ones are CL-2 certified which is supposed to be guaranteed to work.

Edit - Closer look shows the 100+ cables to only be rated "Standard Speed" and not "High Speed" so they're only rated for 1080i/720p.

Anyone pick this up? I'm playing it and love it. Tough game. You don't get to get all shot up like COD and still make it. You take a few direct hits in this one and you go down.

Multiplayer is really, really sweet. The maps are fantastic. Tough going early as it seems I'm just not quick enough on the draw or I'm lagging behind when zeroing in on someone. Seems that it looks like I'm hitting dead center but on review of the kill cam, I started out on the side.

I've played through the first few levels on PS3. Fun game, definitely gorgeous, though it's been confirmed that textures in Cry2 are half the size of the texture from part 1. Not that I care, still looks amazing while I play from my couch.

I know, right? It's kind of backwards.. in CoD you're supposed to be normal, and in this game you're supposed to be a **** super soldier. Though it gets much more fun / badass as you start upgrading the suit. I particularly enjoy the bullet-lines upgrade, and the sprinting/camouflage upgrades seem like they could make running through levels pretty trivial.

I'll probably get it when it's patched enough. I don't like buying games that just came out.
