I'm mostly posting this because there has been some questions recently about the Witcher in another thread. Good news is that the Witcher 2 is coming out on May 17th. To celebrate this, CD Projekt is releasing the Witcher Enhanced Director's Edition on gog.com. It will be $4.99 between May 10-24th. After it will be $9.99. It's a very good time to experience this game because I honestly felt it was a very good game.

http://www.gog.com/en/news/the_witcher_ ... re_release is where I got the information. The Witcher isn't for sale there yet, but you can keep the site bookmarked until it is.

Yup, this is one of those rare games developed purely for PC. On the upside, it means the controls are not shitty console controls shoddily mapped to keyboard. :) (I'm looking in your direction, Far Cry 2)

They aren't completely set on not having a console version. The Witcher won't. But The Witcher 2 might someday.

True. And then, they'll develop witcher 3 for consoles FIRST, and then port to PC with a shitty console control scheme. The circle of stuff.

Yeah. It's pretty unfortunate.

Couple of launch trailers for The Witcher 2(comes out tomorrow!)

Again, I recommend the original to anyone who hasn't played it because The Witcher 2 is going to be a direct sequel picking up right where the first one ended.

So, the Witcher 2 is pretty **** amazing. I didn't really get into it since it has a save game import feature and I didn't happen to have any finished The Witcher save files that I wanted to import, so I need to go through that first so I can import. But yeah. I can see this one shaping up to be a great game.

This game makes my computer weep. I have to play it with all settings turned down and I had to turn down the resolution just to get it working at 15 FPS. Still looks pretty good, just not as good as it could.

Some non-PC gamers might be happy about this news:

I don't know where I read it, but the Witcher 2 will be released on the 360 for sure and it will be released this year. I wonder if this is the Witcher game they were going to announce at E3(they said they had a new Witcher game in the works that wouldn't be The Witcher 3). This fits the criteria.
