Kinda hardcore to name your child after a video game character.

Zelda sounds like a nice name.....better than, "Samus"

either that or Nintendo is exploting it --perhaps she was named after Zelda Fitzgerald or any of these people:

I don't think he would have done the commercial if it wasn't true...but maybe he would have. Maybe he's kinda hard up for cash or something.

No, she was specifically named after The Legend of Zelda.

Robin Williams is the most interesting man in the world?

Robin Williams stole Raltar's Epic Hobo Beard.

His is too neat to be a hobo beard.

this thread is full of win.

Also Williams was a big WH40k fan back in the day. He played Orcs, Second edition, Back when they did all kinds of crazy stuff. That would have been amazing to see.

Okay, that's pretty cool. That would be awesome to show up at your local shop and get matched up against Robin Williams, playing orcs of all things. The hilarity of the ensuing narration of the various actions and die rolls in my imagination is unprecedented.

Yeah, as long as you weren't on the receiving end of the "I have pulsa rokkits so you don't get a turn" insanity.

I used to ahve a friend in college who played orks. He discovered pulsa rokkits and after 3 games in a row where I essentially got 2 turns across the 3 of them I told him I wasn't going to play him anymore if he kept using pulsa rokkits. Fortunately, right about then Angels of Death came out and he was tired of painting orks anyhow so he went to Blood Angels.

I don't find it a huge stretch to believe an actor has involved himself in a hobby where you frequently project your imagination into another world.

IIRC there was a major-league ball player who played EQ, and some other sports figure that played EQ2.. and several that were WoW fans of course.

Robin williams is not only a big video gamer, but he's into D&D as well.

Years ago my father was out taking measurements for a pipeline job through an upscale San Francisco neighborhood. He and his crew were in front of a nice house when the front door opened up and two men came walking toward them. One of the men was carrying something. The one who wasn't carrying something was Robin Williams. He had come out to ask them what they were doing (surveying instruments indicated they weren't just hanging out.) The other man was his butler, carrying a tray with coffee and pastries on it - a welcome ice breaker on a cool SF morning.

So... you do you take for a gamer? Do we only look for people that fit into the stereotype?

OHAI TV Tropes.

I think my favorite:

Dame Judi Dench, who DMs D&D campaigns with her grandchildren. And seriously, how awesome would a game session narrated by her be?

Curt Schilling and Todd Pratt both played Everquest.

I would pay money to play a game DM'd by Dame Judi Dench with Vin Diesel and Robin Williams in attendance.

I have a British friend who ran Pendragon (Arthurian British RPG). That was fairly awesome. Judy would be wholly another magnitude.
