This post is two-fold.

First, in order to be legitimate: Crimson Skies fans, rejoice. Jordan Weisman, one of the founders of FASA, creator of the CS franchise, and recent founder of Smith & Tinker, wants to do a revival. Also, speaking of Jordan, a Crimson Skies fan forum is going to be interviewing him soon as part of a 6-week fan-centric content push the site is doing. Details here-ish.

Secondly, I wanted to announce my intention of playing a Crimson Skies PbP game. It'll take me a month or two to set things up to my satisfaction, but if you're interested, PM me and check out my newly minted PbP sub-forum and its thread on the setting. Dig in, start imagining what kind of character you want to adventure in the deadly skies of shattered North America with, and talk and ask questions. Soon, I'll have enough to familiarize yourselves with the rules, too. I'm really looking forward to this; the game translates quite smoothly to an online play structure, and it's begging to be made into an ongoing campaign with lots of player direction.

Kaffis, you motivated me to seek (and find!) the workaround to the NVIDIA driver issue that has kept me from finishing the PC game for, idunno, four or five years now. The setting is fantastic.

Yeah, I had known such a thing existed prior to my Crimson Skies era of rediscovery, but hadn't realized how different it was from High Road to Revenge. I've since remedied that lapse, and picked it up on PC. I'm slowly working my way through it.

Just have to share how much fun it is to steal an airplane from my RL employer.

Lol. It's fun to drive around I-675. If I remember right, I can point out Lockheed, Grumman, and Curtiss-Wright buildings as I drive the length of it near Wright Pat.

Crimson Skies fans, click here for a chance to ask some questions of one of its creators (who happens to still retain some of the licensing options)!

Good questions Kaffis. I'm looking forward to Mr. Weisman's responses.

Thanks. I'm hoping they're ones he can write a bit in depth about, too.
