Artemis looks like it is to Star Trek what MS Flight Simulator is to flying. I probably wouldn't play it, but I can appreciate it. Not sure how many people are fine with being a captain's peon, but I guess there are many people who enjoy different aspects of this type of game. Like the folks who do nothing but air traffic controlling for the pilots in MS Flight simulators. |

Actually played the demo with my wife and brother-in-law today. We liked it enough to spend 40 bucks for the full game (which can be shared amongst multiple PCs). Though we didn't have a full "crew" (you can assign more than one station to people), we had a blast. Definitely not for anyone who is not a fan of Star Trek-ish shows. But for anyone who ever wanted to be a part of a team where everyone's station matters (including the captain) this definitely is the game to try. I can only imagine how fun it would be with a full compliment of people. And I was kind of skeptical at just how much fun being at a station like "science" or "comm" would be. But again, part of the fun is knowing you're a part of a larger whole. I look forward to seeing how they improve upon it in the future. |

It sounds interesting. I don't know where I'd ever get to have a set-up in situation where i'd get to put it to the test. |
