How so? All versions of Windows are mostly the same thing but Windows 7 has better performance and 64bit support. More driver support too I guess.

Completely overhauled user interface in some places as well as neat things that a lot of people don't utilize enough, like start menu searching.

Meh. Windows 7 and Vista have pretty much the same interface. One is not a significantly more drastic interface change than the other. The main difference between them appears to be Windows 7 doesn't suck ***, performance-wise.

The UI in Win7 is vastly improved over Vista, and much more functional. The differences between the two interfaces might be minor, but they really go a long way.

Even having everything properly memorized it's still a lot of unnecessary steps from before, old version, click menu button, new ribbon click ribbon tab, click button, click ribbon tab to go back to previous tab, it's simply less efficient.

Yeah, there are more clicks involved. It was rarely more than two in Office 2003.

Office 2003 was great. I don't understand why they had to mess with everything instead of continually updating 2003.
