Anyone want to loan me $1500, I have been chosen by Google to test out Glass. However, you still have to buy it and I have to drive up to New York to pick it up.

It might be a good idea to have a little extra liquid cash lying around (but not on you) than what you strictly need to buy the Glass, also.
