Everything Search

I decided I'd finally make a post about one of my favorite pieces of software on Windows. Everything Search is the ****. It will completely change how you think about searching for stuff. It's really simple, all it does is search filenames for what you type in. Except... it's instant. There is no wait. And results keep updating as you type. For instance, I start typing the letter "s" and immediately I can see a list of every filename with an s in it (all 550,000 of them!).

Search on Windows blows. It never returns what you want and it's always too slow to be useful. I'd usually prefer to try to navigate to where I think the files I'm looking for are. But now... **** that ****! Just type in the filename and instant results.

Anyway, you guys should really check it out. Search on Windows 8 has finally improved and works similar to Everything Search, although I still prefer the latter. But for anyone using Windows 7 or earlier... I consider this tool essential.

The main downside is... if you're hiding your porn deep in some obscure directory, Everything Search doesn't care and it will be really easy for someone to find using the program.

Yeah... put them in your exclude list... then I'll know exactly where they are! I won't even have to bother searching. =P

But anyway, if you really want to find someone else's porn stash, WinDirStat (another one of my favorite programs) is the real tool to use. But I digress...
