Well since i'm going to be doing some upgrades as it on my computer I figure I may as well get the video card out of the way at the same time, right now i'm using an 880GTS 640mb, now there's three cards i'm looking at to get (shooting for $200 tops, and wanted to see what people's opinions were since I haven't kept up with video cards, and even less so ATI cards since i've always gone nvidia.

GTX 260 216SP's, 896mb $189.99
Radeon HD 4890, 1gb $199.99
Radeon HD 5770, 1gb $169.99

The 4890 is the fastest but most expensive, the GTX260 is slightly slower but slightly cheaper than 4890 and uses nvidia drivers which i'm familiar with, the 5770 is the slowest and cheapest of the three but the only one that supports DX11. Also my motherboard has a nvidia chipset, do they tend to have issues when mixing ati cards with their chipsets or do they play nice?

So is more worth it to just get the 5770 and get a more futureproof card and save a couple bucks and get one of the other two but only have DX10 support? either way any of those look to be at least 2X faster than my current card.

Oh, and probably worth noting but I don't play any FPS games, just simulations, RPG's, RTS type games which are less taxing than FPS games, and my system is an older athlon 64 X2 4200+ overclocked to 3Ghz, so not so if the two faster cards would be noticable given the CPU.

Thanks, i'd probably feel safer as far as my PSU goes with that too as it's 450watt min PSU for that and 1 6 pin power connector, the other two are 500 min and 2 6 pin connectors, and while my PSU is rated for SLI and has 2 6 pin connectors it's only 550 watts, and with 3HDD's, 3 120mm fans and an overclocked over volted CPU Ii'm not 100% certain the PSU could handle the load.

Also do you know if the Powercoler brand is any good? I was looking at this one too, it's cheaper, overclocked slightly and looks to be a smaller board, but i'm not sure on the brand, don't know anything about that company cause I don't think they make/made nvidia cards.
