So this isn't exactly new, I think it was first shown like a year ago, I remember seeing it and thinking it didn't seem like it was very practical, however the HTC HD2 which i'm getting in 2 weeks is coming with it so I figured I should at least try it before hand and found the install file online and installed it on my HTC Fuze (touch pro) a few days ago.
Well i've gotta say i'm impressed, very impressed actually, the Fuze only has a 2.8" screen so aside from using the stylus the touchscreen keyboard wasn't really that usable because they keys were to damn small, well with the swype keyboard it's actually completely viable even on that smaller screen, I do still have a few miss types due to the screen size, but not many, and that's even with me not being fully used to it yet, so i'm sure on the HD2's 4.3" screen there will be no issues at all, it's definitely put my mind at ease about buying a touchscreen phone with no hardware keyboard.
Here's a demo video for those who don't know what it is.
