My son had his steam account hacked a while back. He was able to prove ownership and his login was recovered. I wonder about one that were not so lucky.

Glad he got his account back. I had my WoW account hacked before, and although I was able to get it back, it was still a pain in the ***. So I totally understand what he was going through.

Which reminds me, I've been getting a bunch of emails lately, "claiming" to be from Blizzard Entertainment. They are all threatening to deactivate my account, unless I can provide my credentials. I have ignored them all, of course, but I actually kept a couple of them, because they were so hilarious. I thought I'd share them with you guys. Their use of "Engrish" is fantastic!

this time disable your account is permanent.
Because we have evidence You have violated the involved in the offline for real money transactions.

The really sad part is, that there are probably a few people out there that actually fell for these, and lost access to their account as a result.
