Apparently, I just found out they have laid wire underground to my area, and it appears I may finally be able to get DSL. That would be a yaye, since I've been on an air card for a couple of years with only dialup as an alternative.

I notice, they offer phone, dsl, TV, and cellular service on their site. It appears that the TV is some version of DirecTv. Does anyone have this service?

It looks like the same programming I have with DirecTv, about the same price. I'm just wondering if I can get the MLB package with it, like I do with the DirecTv dish. If I can, I may finally get off the dish and go that route. I love DirecTv, but when it rains really hard the thing breaks up or loses connection. Getting the same programming without the dish would be great, but I really enjoy the MLB package......hrmph.

It appears the dsl offered in my area is only up to the 3.0 version, and not the 6.0......but that will still be like moving from horse and carriage to automobile. :)

If they offer U-Verse, check it out. I'd love to have that service again.

Bah. I'd love to get U-Verse. They've got it one town up the road, but our stupid town has given exclusive phone service rights to Verizon, who recently sold us off to Frontier rather than deploy FIOS to the area.

bah......apparently according to the salesperson, local politics kept us from getting u-verse atm. Figures, some slimeball was greased to keep it from coming here.

So, their TV is just DirecTv packaging, which does me no good. I already have DTv, and the packaging means nothing to me.....except consolidating bills, which doesn't really matter.

But anyways, I did get dsl 3.0 from them, which is a nice upgrade from my air card. Now I just need to learn about dsl modems. Never owned one. Maybe now I can hook up my Wii, and look into netflix, etc

Oh, ATT wanted to sell me a $75 modem, or $100 wireless modem. I wasn't sure if that was a good idea, or if I should shop elsewhere for one. Opinions?
