Can someone explain to me how to create a video from a certain part of a movie that is on a DVD? Specifically, I want to create a video file from the last 15 minutes of a movie. |

Can you import DVD's straight into Windows Movie Maker? The timeline will let you cut up and save. |

I'll be really surprised if this works, because of the copy protection on a DVD. Probably have to decrypt it to a file first, maybe using something like DVD decrypter. |

Download Handbrake (for ripping) and VLC (for codecs). Together they'll break the copy protection. Pull finished file into Windows Movie Maker to chop up. Save. |

Have you tried aiming a grainy cell phone video camera at the screen while the scene is playing? I've heard there's good money in that. |

This thread is not as interesting as I initially envisioned. Here I thought you and LK were considering a new way to make money. |
