How about picking up a Commodore 64 with some up-to-date specs?

Atom Processor, 4G RAM, SATA, HDMI Out, Optional Blu-Ray, and apparently will come with a copy of Tron Legacy!! :p

Not sure how practical that keyboard is going to be, or if there will be accessories (controllers, etc..), but if the price isn't too over-the-top, it might be fun to have around for nostalgia. Especially if they do some emulator stuff with it.

Never owned a C64, but how 'bout they stuff a PC into a CoCo case? Or an Amiga?

Ok, maybe not the CoCo case. That thing is missing a few too many keys.

It's right there. It's CTRL-ESC.

Edit: Sadly I did not Google that bit of info. It's part of my "Knowledge imparted to me as AOL support that will forever henceforth be deemed useless." Although the bulk of that relates to analog modem Attention string commands.

Cool! If I ever get sucked into Tron-land I'll be sure to remember that.

CTRL-ESC doesn't really double as the Windows Key. For instance, I cannot press CTRL-ESC-L to lock my computer. :p

So apparently these are available for pre-order. Here are the details.

http://www.commodoreusa.net/CUSA_C64.aspx

There is a 'C64' icon on the desktop that launches the emulator. I guess I'll have to go dig around for some roms for it. =)

Edit:

Price table

From that page:

Commodore OS 1.0, along with emulation functionality and classic game package, will be mailed to purchasers when available.
