I have a **** ton of custom fonts on my work PC (XP) that I really want on my personal PC (Win 7). Can I just copy the whole gorram fonts folder and then import it to a new PC? Or am I going to have to go out and figure out exactly which fonts I want to save and download them again? |

c:\windows\fonts is the default location on XP. I THINK you can just copy them to windows 7. You may have to import them, but I know you can pull the .ttf file |

Thank you. Yeah I gave it a shot. 300+ fonts and I got to sit and click "Do Not Replace" with a **** ton of them... just to get around 30 new ones... And I may have done a bad thing, I chose to "unhide" all of the foreign language fonts. note: The reason I did this was because at work during my last school break I detailed the alphabets for all of the races in my D&D Campaign, and in order to be a douche I decided to add the fonts to windows so I could print out notes in these foreign languages and to give the players a copy of the languages that they know, that way.... they could actually decipher any scripts that they find without me just telling them what they found. If someone is just starting to learn a language I can give them part of the note to translate and not the whole thing. |

Man, I feel bad telling you this now, but one of the big UI improvements in Windows 7 is that there's a "Do this for the next N conflicts" checkbox at the bottom of that dialog so that you don't have to click "Do Not Replace" 270 times. |
