I use Chrome at work and Firefox at work. I would use Chrome at work but it inherits is proxy settings from IE, and I prefer to have different browsers pointing to different proxies.

I use Chrome for 99% of my browsing at home and work.

There are still one or two crappy intranet servers that aren't Chrome friendly. Everything else gets shiny chrome...

Firefox saved my soul from internet explorer. Chrome stole it.

Chrome is the best browser in existence today.

I don't use anything else.

Tried Chrome, but went back to Firefox. IT is forced on us at work.

I love chrome I just wish it'd work for more stuff. Sometimes I doubt the wisdom of the alternative browser when I still have to load up IE

I'd like to point out that Amazon looks markedly different in Chrome than anything else. Nice new design, but it doesn't seem to show in any other browser.

They must be split testing. I see the new layout in Safari, not Chrome.

I see the new layout at my workshop, using chrome, but everywhere else I browse (work, condo, tablet, etc...) I still see the old layout.

I suspect it's a bit of a random thing....

Why do you have to? I could understand if it's for compatibility. You could always keep a portable version of Firefox or Chrome on a USB drive, if you have install restrictions.

Chrome for 99.9% of my browsing, IE9 for the few times I have issues with Chrome, like deviantart.com randomly seems to get completely messed up on Chrome and nothing will fix it, then the next day it's fine again.

School mostly. Also every once in a while I'll run into the odd job application server. Also, oddly enough, google voice.

We're generally not allowed to use USB drives here.

That said, i have admin credentials. I can install anything...if I feel like dealing with failed software audits.

I am a fan of speed and leanness in my internet browsing. Altavista was a great search engine and my engine of choice, but I made the switch a start-up search engine called "Google" because of it's minimalist approach.

In the 90s, I used Netscape Navigator as my browser of choice. When Netscape Navigator became bloated and slow, I switched to another browser called Phoenix/Firebird. I liked it.

Firebird eventually morphed it's name and logo into Firefox. And I used that for years.

Then Firefox started to get bloated and slow. I tried out Google Chrome.

I love Chrome and that is my browser of choice. If it ever gets bloated and slow, then I'll make the switch yet again. The one constant I've had through my internet browsing since the mid '90s is that I refuse to use Internet Explorer. For many good and logical reasons, as well as some prejudiced and illogical reasons.
