I dunno, Douchebag Harbaugh made it really easy to hate the niners. I'll still manage with this new coach, but I might have to try a little harder.

I'm sure Jasmy is an exception (?), but I have much disdain for the asshatery of many 49er fans.

Re: yesterday game, I've gone back and re-watched the highlights from that game several times, and I still can't believe that went down the way it did.

Agreed. This has to be gutting for them to lose like this.

Ya know, everyone at work expects me to be in mourning today. They're walking up to me and talking like I lost a family member.

I'm not that broken up over it. Some flukey plays happened, and didn't happen in our favor. That's what it took for us to lose. It wasn't like anyone really made a stupid mistake, we didn't get trounced; the coin flipped on a couple big plays and we were on the wrong side of it. Is that cause for me to lose all hope? Am I forever going to remember the year when we "only" made it to the NFC championship?

I mean, we had a lot of bad years for a couple decades there. Growing up, being around the diehard fans saying "The Pack Is Back!" at the start of every sub .500 season... I guess it conditions you. The Packers are rounding the corner on 100 years as a team. We've seen much worse losses. Where are we today? We've been tremendously fortunate to have two HOF quarterbacks stretching us over twenty years. Every year for the last two decades, the Packers have a shot at the championship.

I'm a part of the greatest professional sports organization to ever have existed (13 championships, 3 in a row twice, five in seven years, non-profit, community-owned, etc etc...) I'm sad that we lost, yes, but we can't win the Superbowl every year... :D

Pretty sure Taly would like to argue here but I doubt she pokes her nose in the football thread. SO I would like to point out that the Montreal Canadiens have won the Stanley Cup 24 times. The Leafs, those poor bastards, have not won the cup since 67 and THEY have won the cup 13 times. Not sure you can call the Packers the 'greatest', when at most, they are third best in just north America.

Some interesting data regarding 'deflate gate'...from http://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/blog/?p=2932

There are a few key takeaways. First and foremost, the 187 plays/fumble dwarfs even the rest of the best seasons the last 25 years. Second, the Patriots have been at the top of the NFL since 2007.

Ironically, as my study yesterday showed, the Patriots performance in wet weather home games mysteriously turned ridiculous starting in 2007. In 2006, they went 0-2. From 2007 onward, they went 14-1.

The next obvious question becomes, where were the Patriots in this statistic pre-2007? Take a look:

I was initially in the 'who cares' camp, but after reading this, now I'm not so sure...

I just want to know why they are trying to blame this on Brady. Yes, he picks the balls. But after he picks them, they get inspected. How is this his fault?

Also, quit crying Colts, you got your *** kicked.

I seriously doubt there is any proof, or if there is, the NFL will destroy it, like they did with the spygate videos, but Brady is almost certainly guilty here.

Once the referees inspect the 12 team game balls (each teams offense gets 12), they are turned back over to the teams equipment manager on the sidelines. There is every opportunity to remove some air pressure after the referees have inspected them. And there is ZERO chance an equipment manager would take it upon him or her self to do this on their own. Those are Brady's footballs. If they are being manipulated, it's not being done without his knowledge.

It's going to be really interesting to see how this plays out. Brady has said he didn't modify the balls, and it's quite clear that someone did. Team employees are required to sign a confidentiality agreement when they are hired. Just like with the assistant scout who took the spygate videos, even after he was fired from the team, he refused to testify or turn over the evidence he possessed until he was given immunity from the Patriots and the NFL from being sued into oblivion. This process took 8 years. And once that evidence was handed over to the league, they 'reviewed' it and then promptly destroyed it.

It took years for all of the details of the spygate controversy to become known. I suspect that will be the case with deflategate as well.

The league does not want this to be an issue. They will do anything they can, to include ignoring or destroying evidence, to avoid implicating Brady or Belichick.

Re: the Colts, I haven't seen anything indicating they are blaming the loss on those footballs. That would be ridiculous. There are some claims that the Ravens gave the Colts a heads up to check the balls after their game the previous week (which was *much* closer), because they suspected the Patriots game balls were being manipulated.

What I want to know is if Brady's balls are deflated, why hasn't he checked himself into a hospital?

Thankya. The Pats will be tough, but not as tough as I think the Packers were.

People keep asking me who I think is going to win (not who I want to win).

I honestly don't really have a clue. I think Seattle is probably the overall better team, but when teams have two weeks to prepare for each other, it's really hard to gauge who benefits from that the most.

If you would have told me Seattle would hold the most prolific offense in NFL history to 8 points (last years Superbowl against Peyton Mannings Broncos), and score 43 points, I would have probably laughed at you...

The media look like assholes? Yeah, definitely.

Dude don't wanna talk, dude ain't gotta talk. Leave him alone. Go talk to any of the other Seahawks. I'm sure you can find one or two to give you an opinion on something.

SO would you say the same thing if he was just a second string back who ran for a two fifty a year with maybe two or three touchdowns? I will be the first to say, the dude has skills but he looks like a **** dick.

Did Jim Brown act this way? Hell no, put camera in his face, he is going to tell you what he thinks. Emmitt Smith, dude never shuts up about how great he was. How about Barry Sanders? Think he would act this way? **** no. What makes him so special?

I think he doesn't want to talk because he doesn't do it well. Out on the field, a star, behind a mike, comes across stupid. Embarrassing.

Just a guess.
