I just hope these vulture teams looking for head coaches don't come pilfering the Seahawks coaching staff..

Cable and Quinn both have done an outstanding job...

I would have included Darrell Bevel as a likely Head Coaching candidate, but the Seahawks offense has been pretty abysmal the last half of the season....

No. No no no no no. :(

Wait... Cleveland can't even talk to Quinn until the Hawks' season is over. And I guarantee, if I was him, I'd stay with the Hawks rather than go to... ugh... Cleveland.

Damnit. Don't the Vikes want Bevell back? Sheesh!

The Browns are also looking at Denver's OC, and AZ's DC.

Per league rules, teams are required to allow coordinators to interview for head coaching jobs if teams submit a request.

I don't get this. Why even have to make a request if it has to be granted by rule? I would much rather see a rule like "You have to let them interview as long as it doesn't interfere with a season that is currently in progress. If the coordinator is still in the running for the superbowl, they are considered under contract and unable to interview for another position until such time as they are eliminated from contention."

Marla Ridenour of the Akron Beacon Journal did not mince a single word: “When the Browns relieved coach Rob Chudzinski of his duties Sunday night, it illustrated the height of their arrogance, the cartoonish level of their dysfunction. They actually believe there’s a future NFL coaching star out there who wants to work with an owner under federal investigation and a CEO and general manager who have yet to prove they know anything about talent evaluation.”

I listened to part of the news conference, and there were some *very* pointed questions from the media.

That organization really is a joke right now...

And they pick a DC before hiring a HC... That's awesome.

Quote:
Schwartz, Malzahn, Franklin and Josh McDaniels — the Patriots offensive coordinator and another candidate to replace Chudzinski – are all represented by agent Jimmy Sexton, who has strong ties to the Browns organization.

Maybe you should pick a coach based on the coach instead of the agent. Just sayin.

So that the request is documented and everything is above board.
