Three Words:
Go Habs, Go!

I am only semi excited about the playoffs this year. The Wings are down, they limped into the playoffs. Hell, if not for Nyquist going nuts after the Olympic games, they might not have made it in. But they took the first game in Boston. I can pray.

The Wings didn't limp into the playoffs. They sucked through the first half of the season. It's only after their huge pile of injuries occurred, that the Grand Rapids Redwings tore up the NHL in the last third of the year. I suspect the Wings are the most improved team in the second half of the year.

I'd love to see them upset the Boo-ins. Bunch of dirty goons - there are no two players in the NHL I hate as much as Zdeno Chara and Milan Lucic.

Who was the guy that sticked a dude in the beanbag in game 1?

Milan Lucic.

They only gave him a $5000 fine for that.

He makes 5.5 million a season. He didn't even notice the fine.

That'd be 25k and a suspension of 1 game in the NFL or so.

That might have been more appropriate than what he got.

What's worse, is it's a habit of Lucic's.

Here's from earlier this year:

What a dickbag. How has he not been suspended for that ****?

I get fighting or whatever, but that's some **** up repugnant ****.

I saw that the other night on the highlights. Didn't realize he got fined for that (good).

I think the question is not so much how has he not been suspended, but, how has he not gotten the **** kicked out of him? I might drag a skate across his hamstring or something.

aaand Montreal wins! as did Boston. I agree with Talya wholeheartedly when it comes to Lucic and Chara...couple of assholes if ever there were any.

Oh, and by the way...I hate LA! Go Sharks!!

The Wings are dead, it is only a matter of time now. They are getting outplayed in every aspect of the game.

That and Jimmy Howard is not a cup worthy goal tender. He is a back up on a good team at best.

Your Red Wings are going to make my Habs deal with the bunch of dirty goons. That's not cool, man.

Beat LA! is a very catchy chant, but I sort of like Sweep LA! better this week.

That was really cool, Talya. I missed the opening of that game but my friend told me about it. I did get to see them do it again before the fourth game. The little boy with the torch was my favorite part. :D

So... Montreal, Boston, Chicago, and Anaheim have advanced.

San Jose, New York, Pittsburgh, and Colorado have 3-2 leads and can end it next game...or choke and go to game 7!

San Jose got screwed tonight, between the non-goal and Quick not being penalized. Refs really want LA to win. :(

I really doubt it's an issue of favortism. The Ref is focused on the puck, they don't see everything. Unfortunately, they are not allowed to use video review for something like goaltender interference, and if the play does go to review, the video judges aren't allowed to allow or waive the goal based on that criteria. This rule needs to change, but that's how it is. Maybe if they would allow review, the whining tampa fans would shut up about the goal that got called back when the league pointed out that the ref's call was right, by the letter of the rules?

Ha. No, then they'd just claim bias.

Reverse sweep. Jonathan Quick MVP 2014. Way to choke, Sharks.

Not like LA didn't go on to score 2 more goals. Oh wait.

Montreal vs. LA in the finals this year. Payback for '93. Bring it.

Two more BS penalties against the Sharks tonight.

Go Anaheim!

Can't help but notice one thing that all San Jose fans, players and coaches have in common: Excuses. Better team won here, plain and simple. Sharks can't close, had little heart past game 3, top players decided they weren't going to show up. Yet it was the ref's calls. The second goal(out of four) in game 6. Those are the reasons the Sharks didn't win. Not because the Kings were the better team. Nope, it was the calls. Totally.

Post subject:  Re: NHL Playoffs 2014

Where did I say the Sharks lost because of the BS calls? I'm not making excuses for the Sharks. The Sharks did what they always do...play great during regular season then choke in the playoffs. I've been a fan since they became a team, so yes, I am upset when they lose like they did because I would like to see them win the Cup at least once before I die...and yes, when I see bad or missed calls it pisses me off and I ***** about it. I've watched every single game of every team in the first round this year and there were a lot of bad or missed calls in most of them.

Now go gloat about your Kings to someone else. I plan on watching Montreal win the Cup this year.
