Disclaimer - I hate the Leafs. But this kid is already amazing. He's going to be phenfreakinominal. Auston Matthews Mexican-American. Born in San Francisco, California in 1997. Raised in Scottsdale, Arizona (!) Drafted 1st overall in the 2016 NHL entry draft. Scores 4 goals in his first NHL game, last night. The Leafs still lose 5-4. (HAHA!) (I love seeing his parents in the stands in the Ottawa arena, mom in tears by his 3rd goal.) |

That move he made on the second goal was fantastic. He is going to have a target on his back for a little while. |
