Earl Weaver Claims He's Not Dead Quote: The Earl of Baltimore, 80, responds to the NY Times’ allusion to his passing with good humor, saying, “I’m still here, although my knees have given out, so I don’t play golf anymore. I’ve always said that there were two places that I wouldn’t mind dying. One was Memorial Stadium; the other, the golf course. Now I’ve got to wait forever [to go], because both of those places are gone.”

Jeez. Tommy Lasorda and Chuck Tanner are both in their 80s now too. |

If you come to a Dodgers game, chances are pretty good you'll see Tommy, sitting down in the owners' seats, next to the dugout. He'll probably kick the bucket in Dodger Stadium. I used to think he was just a blowhard. He probably is, but I've come to like him over the years. |
