All I want for Christmas is Justin Verlander to suffer a career ending injury, perhaps taking a scortching line drive up the middle off the face. Go Sox. |

So...if the Jays keep taking 2 out of 3 in the east, will it be enough to grab a playoff spot? (Yes, I know, 6 games into 162 is a bit early.) |

If they do then next year MLB will expand it out to be 2 extra "wild card" teams to ensure that both NYY and BOS make it. |

Oh yes, but even worse than blantantly allowing them to attempt to buy titles is altering the rules to try to ensure that when they misspend their monies they are still guaranteed to make the post-season. |
