OK, it's not like I really want to talk about the debacle that was the Packers game ... So, lemme just say that the end of the first half of the Seahawks-Falcons game looked oddly and painfully familiar to the end of last year's Rose Bowl game.

That week off seems to have helped the 49ers recover their stride. We'll see how we do next weekend.

Russell Wilson makes me pity Brandon Weeden even more.

Probably argues for graduate school. :)

I had never heard of him before he played for Wisconsin, of course. Cool guy, seems pretty composed. Makes me wonder if you're born with that, or if it's somehow cultivated.

Wilson seems to be the real deal. Everyone was Luck/RGIII for the season(for good reason, they were both great) so he kind of flew under the radar. Granted, out of all the rookie QBs, he was put in the best position but dang if he didn't play like he had been there 3 years already. Count me as a fan.

It appears I was right:

• Cleveland Browns: In a moment of grand Twitter détente, @twotimeairman and @swagdaride agreed that fans of teams with long championship droughts should root for each other. So here’s the deal that was struck: Browns fans will adopt SEATTLE and Seahawks fans will return the favor when the Browns make it, in 2052.

He played better than both Luck and RG3, didn't get hurt, didn't throw a **** of INTs, and, as a 3rd round draft pick WAY outperformed his expectations.

Wilson should be ROY.

Not trying to knock Wilson, but Luck is still better. Out of all the rookie QB's(with the exception of maybe Weedon), Luck had the crappiest team to play with. Luck was the whole offense in Indy. Below avg D, no run game and only Reggie Wayne as a proven WR. When you throw as much as Luck had to, you are going to have more picks.

Pretty sure RG3 will win the RoY this year (voting was done after the final regular season game).

I think Luck and Wilson's situations were fairly similar in the sense that their teams both performed better than anyone really expected.

Wilson was drafted after Seattle signed Matt Flynn for starting QB money. No one expected him to even be a starter, let alone be one of the best QB's in the league (note I didn't just say best Rookie).

You could make solid arguments for all three of them. All three took their teams to the playoffs, and played well beyond their years.

If I had a vote, it would go to Wilson.. but I might be a scoche biased. He had *much* better numbers in the Red Zone and in the 4th quarter than any other quarterback in the league. Those are the numbers that count the most.

In any event, the future looks bright for the QB position for the next decade.

I'll agree with that.
