The Glade 4.0

I have played and beaten many games in my lifetime (Hell, I have played and beaten Battletoads for the NES straight through), but I think Mortal Kombat (current one out for Xbox360) takes the cake for the most frustratingly difficult boss battle ever.

The final fight in the story mode you have to fight Shao Kahn with Raiden and, I have never seen a boss battle so lopsided. His damage resistance is through the roof, his moves hit you out of the air or even mid-dash, and the amount of damage his moves do is absurd. Sometimes he just absorbs an uppercut or combo move and smashes your face when he should be knocked over or back.

I like a challenge, but when this battle was made where the boss is essentially cheating the whole fight, it takes away from it.

I must have fought about 200-300 rounds against him in 3 non-consecutive, appx. 1hr long sittings. Of those few hundred rounds, I won exactly six of them.

Finally beat the game and was promtly disappointed by the short crappy ending, but at least I am quite the Raiden expert by now.

Man, the new MK is so **** hard I never got past the end of Stryker's chapter in the invaded city. Or maybe it was a double fight somewhere along the line. Either way, hard game.
